That is the cutest picture! I'm one of those people who can't view photobucket or facebook here at work because of the computer Nazi's. It's frustrating. I love it when they get posted like this and I can view them.

are we there yet !

we went out last year in a panga. it was a 4 hour trip and we landed 3 very nice barracuda and missed 1 sail fish and 2 other barracuda. it was a blast. have charted a bigger boat this year. but I would be interested in maybe splitting another 1/2 day out on a panga if I can work around my busy schedule of drinking beer and laying on the beach.

Don and I have only ever fished on pangas in Mexico. He's always had very good luck on them. Last year he and his friends caught a sailfish and 2 marlin, and 2 big dorado.

True!! Okay, we tried a somewhat larger boat, but we had MUCH better luck on the panga. This trip, we didn't have one bite for over one hour. Then, as luck would have it, we had 4 hooked at once and it was quite chaotic. My daughter lost her's first, then as my hand was tiring out from reeling, I got my dorado to the boat and as soon as the guide grabbed the line to hook it to bring it in, I lost it!!! It was beautiful, though. Then Spenser (son-in-law) lost his as well. But of course, Troy landed his and it was a monster dorado. I'm sure he'll post the pics soon.
I loved the bigger boat, but I'd also go out on another panga in a heartbeat.

That's great!
I caught my first dorado in Sayulita last summer. They are fun to catch!
Their colours are gorgeous when they are caught, how they flash from gold/green to silver/blue. Don caught a big one, about 55 pounds, that flashed even much more colourfully than any others he has seen, it was really cool.
Did you eat them?

They really are colorful, beautiful fish - until they've been in the cooler for too long; they fade quickly. We took it back to the Shangri-La and the chef cooked some of it up for us and we gave the rest to some of the staff - they loved it, as did we. It was very good and also my first taste ever.
