Another place to add to our list. Fifty plus and just keeps getting bigger.

We will be in PDC next week, and I think we'll try to make it over to El Cejas. Does anyone else find the posted address a bit difficult to get your mind around?

"El Cejas has opened a big palapa restaurant between 24th and 26st Streets between 25th and 30th."

Having never been there, I'm not quite sure which street/avenue to start my search.

Between 25th and 30th ave. Pretty big place - hard to miss.

Look for the moonwalk!

Okay, maybe you could also tell be whether it's on 24th ro 26th Street. It just makes it easier to pinpoint. Although we will be in the Yucatan for 4 weeks, our time in Playa is short and filled with business obligations. TIA

Can't remember exactly, but I'm thinking closer to calle 26!

Hope you find it. Good food, well prepared. Great selection of ceviche!

Hmmm. We had a condo in Playa for 5 years, and I do think I remember pretty well how the streets and avenues in town work. I think it's pretty difficult to find a place between two avenues and not be on a specific street. Being 'closer' to one street or another just won't work. I'll find it. I was just trying to make it easier.

If I remember correctly, it is DEFINITELY between 25th and 30th aves... The restaurant is big, I think it spans a full city block. Again, if I remember correctly, there is one entrance on calle 28 and another on calle 26, but it might be calle 26 and 24. Sorry I can't be more specific!

Yes, it's definitely between Av 25 y Av 30. El Fogon is on the corner of Av 30 y Calle 28 and it is before El Fogon (if you're headed north)... I just can't remember if it's Calle 26 or Calle 24 either.

Guys, you suffer too much because you want. I have posted pictures of the place and in the "Where is What" you can find the interactive map of Playa at Google Earth.

I have the picture,Jesus, and Inow understand what Stewart is describing. Fear not, I will find it. I was just trying to avoid driving in circles. I simply won't have the time. The idea is to get the business/work done in Playa and get out. Thanks all (esp. Stew) for the info!

Nah, I don't find them as fascinating or useful as some people do. I'm big on directions. I can usually find anything in Playa if I have the directions.

Ok, your loss,

Check on both 24th and 26th streets as they have entrances on both (don´t know wich one is the main one) my pictures are of 24th street. And they are easy to find, no other bussiness on the street besides them.

No problem. I love the opportunity to be of any assistance in leading others to good restaurants! Special thanks should go to James, if anyone though. He was the one who turned all of us on to this place in the first place!

Quick note: They serve two salsas here. One is hot enough to peel the enamel off your teeth, the other one is REALLY good - kind of sweetish - perhaps tamarind based?
