IN Playa...generally speaking........

High season = Christmas - Easter
Low season = Easter - Christmas

This is not the case for all of Riviera Maya however. When it comes to tourists staying at the AI resorts, summer is high season as well.

So it won't be hard to find an (long term lease) apartment in august or september, correct?

nope..just hit the streets with pen and pad and a mexican cell phone and start calling all of the Si Renta sign numbers...you will soon find someone that speaks english and have you a new place...congrats!

Thank you. That is great. I speak spanish (I'm from honduras) so that would make it easier. How does it work over there? You pay first month rent and one month's rent security deposit? Or does it change depending on who u r renting from?


Also, is a 12 month lease considered long term or is a 6 month lease considered long term? What is the "norm"?
