So THIS explains my drain bamage...

...otherwise known as brain damage

I just got off the phone with my mother, who reminded me of a funny story when I was a kid.

I guess shortly after I was born, my sister, in a fit of jealousy, stuffed my bassinette full of pillows. In what apparently was an attempt to off the insufferable newbie for once and for all. My mom caught her, and from that day forward had to hide any extra pillows laying around, lest I meet an untimely death at my sister's little hands. She was two. Good times, good times.

Anyone else have any funny stories from being a kid? I laughed so hard when my mom brought that up tonight, and will have to remind my sister later

My brother threw a spade shovel at me and hit me in the forehead. We were playing with hot wheels in our garden. I aksed him nicely for it and he said "No". So I went back to digging with my hands. He called my name I turned and smack right in the forehead. I ran to the back door and it was locked. My parents weren't home and we had a babysitter. He thought it was funny! I didn't.

I'm sorry, but I don't know if you're a girl or a boy. Somehow that's important to the story for me.

Didn't I start a thread about this awhile ago? Shit. Can't remember. My twin bro tripped me and I fell and broke my front tooth off. The remaining part was in my lower lip.

Did you start a thread before? I'm sorry....somehow I missed it, and didn't do a search before posting. Lo siento.

I guess whenever Babaloo gets up, I'll be admonished and get my lashes.

See? I knew that'd be integral to the story.

He told me to pitch the ball once as best I could and get outta the way! I didn't have time to move before it smacked in the face too! I'm surprised I made it as far as I have!

I used to be the pitcher for my baseball team in grade school, and had so many hits AND near misses on my head I can't even count 'em. We probably suffer from the same afflictions.

No kidding...I was hit by a car too, when I was walking in a crosswalk when I was 17. Walking across the street still makes me paranoid.....

When i was about 2-3 my family got me one of those little slides. The ones that were made out of press board. They put me at the top of it and I barely scouted on it. They figured a good idea would be to rub wax paper on it. They put me back at the top and this time I went. I went fast enough that when I hit the bottom my head went back and smacked the slide.

I've never been one to adhere to rules, and as the youngest of 6 children, I pretty much did my own thing. This is a story that's been told again and again by my mother. We were living in Hawaii. I was 2 yrs old. The whole family had gone to see the Aloha day parade. My sister, who was 10 took me to the bathroom. I went, then she went. Evidently not wanting to wait for her and ready to get back to the parade, I crawled under the bathroom door and went back out to watch the parade. Frantic, my parents, 4 brothers ages 7 - 12 and my sister searched for me for the next hour. The parade route had a canal on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. They finally found me sitting on a curb, watching the parade, oblivious to the fact that they'd searched for me for an hour.

Thinking about it, it kinda reminds me of Kevin searching for me in the customs line at the airport
