Slow down, you move too fast, you've got to make the morning last
Just kickin' down the cobble-stones, lookin' for fun and feelin' groovy

Feeling groovy

Hello lamp-post, what's cha knowing, I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't cha got no rhymes for me, do-it-do-do, feelin' groovy

Feeling groovy

I've got no deeds to do, no promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me

Life I love you, all is groovy

I think "Sgt Peppers" was the first album I ever bought. I can remember the first time I heard any of their music in maybe '63 or '64 from some Aussie kids that had a portable reel-to-reel. My brother still has a copy of "With the Beatles" pressed in Dum-Dum, India. I am still after all these years a unabashed Beatle-maniac.

I think it was something on either "Abbey Road" or the "White Album" but I don't recall the song title now. Come to think of as George Carlin said "the sixties were very good for me." Which of course seems to tie in nicely with the earlier comment about LSD. There were times back then I may have heard backwards whilst the record played forward.

Oh yeah, now I remember. It was on Abbey Road, because Paul is walking barefoot... Maybe you had to be high to hear it???

Supposedly Paul is dressed for an Italian peasant funeral on the cover. See... I do remember some of it.
