I watch this show, I love it! Gordon Ramsey is crazy, but I know half of it is for show. I'm a sucker for any show that has to do with cooking, so throw in his and the contestants drama and you've got a show, lol.

This show cracks me up...
The girls were spoutin' about teamwork and then came apart at the seams
They have a couple of pretty strong personalities on that team. Should make for some intersting "communiation" As for Chef Ramsay, his character on this show is likely, shall we say, embellished although he is pretty aggressive on his other show. If you haven't seen Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, it's worth a look. I think we get it on the Food Network..... late night..... It can be a little colorful, language wise. He gets invited to look at struggling restaurants and suggest changes to bring them back to being profitable. He convinces the owners to do everything from changing menus to firing staff.

I love this show and have watched it since the beginning.
My BF hates it when I watch these kinds of shows but I have him hooked on this one. He won't admit it but he's the one that always reminds me its on and then sits there the whole hour and watches it with me. I thought they treated Julia bad and if they had really thought about it she would have been the perfect pick to cook the eggs since that's a big thing at the Waffle House. Not sure about the crier and it seems Ramsey is going a little easier on him than most. Glad to see Tiffany go, I thought it was funny that the one who put her up as a possible to go told her that no way was she going home. |

I like the "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" show. I think that is what it is called. He goes to restaurants that are experiencing a slump, refreshes the menu, looks at the staff and the managment style and corrects it all. There are some good insults thrown along the way.
It would be great if you could talk to people like that.....What am I saying? I do that every day! ... |

Ramsay gave the young gun another chance. Eddie talked a good game, but I don't think he would have improved with time. Tonight is breakfast! Julia's chance to shine ... |

Julia is a great person in the kitchen and the others are so snooty about her working at Waffle House. She saved them with her ability to get the breakkie out fast and was sent to help out the males finish their breakfasts. The rest of her team really needs to get an attitude adjustment and take themselves off the pedestal when they talk about her being a short order cook, she can learn just like they are, how to be a top notch chef. Was glad to see the big baby go, though I hope his illness is not life threatening.

All those girls forget that Ramsay was a soccer (or rugby) player-turned-chef. That's why he tends to root for the underdog types, and is quick to deflate anyone with overblown foodiness attitude. So Julia doesn't know what creme brulee is -- she WOULD know what a really eggy pudding with a burnt sugar crust on top of it is. And she'd know how to make it. Bonnie has not delivered the goods on her own ability/initiative once. Julia has about the best attitude so far, with Rock a close second. Melissa, the little New Yorker, has been strangely quiet lately. I guess she is just lying low, doing competently at her stations, and waiting for things to calm down a bit. But it's clear that in the dorm, she is considered the leader. Last edited by MWC; 06-19-2007 at 01:29 PM. |
