...campaign logo designs!
I've arranged them alphabetically, which means Dems get to go first. Tried my best to get their official designs or, if it wasn't so clear what those were or where to get them, a clip of something similar off their site. Hopefully I didn't leave anybody too important out. (I purposely didn't try to include Al Gore or Fred Thompson, since they aren't officially candidates at this point.)Poll appears above in the same order. If I can figure out how to set up a poll to allow 2 votes, I'll do it, and you can all be on the honor system to vote for just one from each party. Let's have some fun, shall we? NO DEBATING THE ISSUES HERE, PLEASE -- JUST DESIGNS, THANK YOU! DEMOCRATS <==Kucinich ![]() REPUBLICANS ![]() Steve Last edited by ryberg; 06-12-2007 at 10:12 PM. |

I like the whirled peas 2008 one. Who is it for? Kucinich? Edit] Thanks for editing and clarifying that. Of the Repub ones appearance wise I favor the Romney one.

My advice to people today is as follows: If you take the game of life seriously, if you take your nervous system seriously, if you take your sense organs seriously, if you take the energy process seriously, you must turn on, tune in, and drop out.
Timothy Leary Vive es breve! (I hope I have the Spanish on that correct!) |

That one from Kucinich cracks me up. I daresay that nobody with the peace sign prominently displayed in their campaign logo stands any chance of being elected President. I can't believe they put that in there.
I think McCain's is otherwise the riskiest. Kinda reflects his maverick style, I guess, so in that way it seems to work, and it's nice to see some risk-taking among a lot of not so risky designs. But that star is too militaristic to me -- feels like he thinks he's running for General of the United States or something... Some of them are terrible. Gilmore's is to campaign logos what E! camera work is to TV: just pick something and focus on it for a second, wouldya?!? Steve Last edited by ryberg; 06-12-2007 at 10:33 PM. |

Nice one. Quote:
Funny how the other day I was saying somewhere that it didn't seem so proper to refer to the current candidate as "Hillary" and yet it turns out that's exactly what her banner says. Too bad for her her banner is of about zero distinction and interest in this field, imo -- the fact that it just has her first name is surely the most interesting point, no? Steve |
