Just to introduce myself. I'm Dan. I've been to Play Del Carmen once, and I'm planning a trip back to the area in 2007. I have a wife and step-daughter that will be traveling with me, their first trip to the Maya Riviera.
I very much want to make their travels special, so I'm starting very early in planning where we will stay, what we will do.
I'm undecided between an all-inclusive or renting a Villa. We would like the privacy of a Villa, but I realize it will be more pricy. An all-inclusive would afford us more opportunity to spend on other interests.
I've seen Coba, been to Xcaret, trying to put together some things I know the girls would enjoy. The Tulum ruins would be good.
There's so many things I could put in this to introduce myself. But don't want to make it long, so I think I'll stop here and just let posters get to know me as I ask questions over the next few months.
I used this site a few years back before my first trip. The suggestions and answers from others proved invaluable and made my vacation all the more wonderful. So I know I'll get plenty of kind help again!
