And I would not look cool driving around with ladder strapped to the roof.
Don't you hate it when little things like responsibilities get in the way?

I don't know if their "under the hood" technology has changed much since I testdrove one in 2003. I was VERY disappointed with the ride of the Highlander. The engine felt very underpowered, and the auto transmission was uninspiring.

How about a Honda Ridgeline? They're so badass looking, and I think Honda is about the best car company out there.

Man I miss our Z-28. Red 1984, Tammy bought it new in 84. Just sold it about 4 years ago. Big mistake.
Donna check out the Honda Pilot. Midsize SUV, decent gas milage and its a Honda.

I've got an Accord V6 coupe and am coveting the Honda Ridgeline - very sexy and very well equipped. I'd do it in a heartbeat but the thought of a car payment is off putting.

Wish I could lease but with 80 mi/rt daily it's not such a good idea.

Good luck with the search.

17 years ago I had a beautiful sky blue 300ZX w/ T-tops when I lived in S. Carolina. I wish I had kept it ~ it'd sure be an adorable little car when I'm not hauling kids around in a mini-van!

Oh you'd love my cars then!

Actually, the G6 gets about 32 on the highway and the Sierra gets about 18-19 on the highway. The Cobra on the other hand is directly proportional to my right foot!

I drive a 1994 Mazda MPV. I like it - has a rebuilt engine and oughta be good for another 100k - in fact, it may become our Mexico road trip vehicle

I know you said you don't want another Ford, but I just love my 2003 Ford Escape. Just turned 45,000 this week. It's large enough to be useful for hauling stuff, has built-in roof rack (although I've never used it), and it's just plain fun and very comfortable to drive. When it finally dies (hopefully not for a looooooong time), I plan to check out the Escape hybrid.

Do any of you own any of these cars?
So far I like the
Toyata FJ crusier
BMW X3 SAV
and my favorite so far is the
VW Touareg
VW Touareg doesn't have enough horse power for how heavy the car is. I don't know anyone who actually knows a few things about cars who would recommend it. We just finished shopping for an SUV for my friend....In my opinion the Acura RDX is absolutely amazing and it has a GPS......if money were no issue that's what she would have bought. Instead she bought a Nissan Murano.
