Playa bound!!

my husband and I are leaving tomorrow for our first trip to Playa!!! So excited! Just wondering how easy it is to rent a car(not for the entire trip maybe just a day), and how to find maps/directions to the cenotes if you are going on your own?!?! Any other "must dos" feel free to add!

Welcome to the board and hope you enjoy your trip to Playa it is indeed Paradise. Lots to see and do just email Heather at Playa Info and she can help you with almost everything. One of our favourite things to do is spend a day in Akumul and snorkell and see the turtles.also and day trip to Cozumel is definatly worth the time the snorkelling and diving over there is awsome......Have fun..

We did rent a car for a day and drove to Cancun. We rented from Executive car rental right on 5th Ave, just past Calle 10. I would recommend them, they were friendly, the price was reasonable, and they were very understanding when a motorcycle cop rammed into our parked Jeep before we even put it into gear. Yes, a motorcycle cop got into a wreck with our parked car! I have yet to write about that day in my trip report, but it was of no fault of the rental company or us. They were understanding and didn't make us feel one bit guilty for it.
Enjoy your trip!
