[Dave - Paradise Junkie]

Hey all,

I notice that a number of Sacbe residents or future residents loom around this forum, so I thought I'd take a flyer and see if there's any interest in organizing a little gathering of us March. I've met a few of you, but thought it might be fun to get the Clan of the Jungle together for dinner or few drinks.

I usally get together with Tom and Joanne when I come down. Last time I met James and Anna and saw Geoff and Jeremiah again. But it would be great to meet more Sacbe villagers, even get everyone together in one place.

I'm going to be in town March 15th to March 15-21 and March 26, 27. Anyone else going to be in town during that period. Any interest in getting together?

I know a number of you currently live in Playa and get together regularly, but for those of us that still live in the North and get only brief glimpses of paradise, the opportunity to meet and develop relationships would be cool. I'd like to find a way that those of us who aren't living there (yet) can develop that sense of community and keep up with the goings on in the village.

That said, how are the roads coming along? When I last visited in November, Avenue de los Ninos was beginning to push into the jungle from the main road. How's it coming? Our lot is on a "quiet" cul de sac at the end of the the road. I'm hoping I'll be able to drive in close to our lot this trip so I'm curious as to the latest progress.

Also, when I was down in November - near the entrance by the highway it looked like a major development was starting. Is that the golf course that had been talked about? While I can see it might be pleasant to have a golf course nearby in my old age (not a golfer now), I'm glad its "downstream" from the village. Those things dump a pile of herbicides into the water table which ain't great for the reefs. Hopefully, some of Sacbe's environmental concern will rub off...at least here's hoping.

BTW, anyone got their solar panel system up and running yet?
