Well...count me in!!! I can see an afternoon of enjoying some tacos and either cold Mexican Coca-cola or ice cold chelas (beers). After that, we can join Miss Andrea for her b-day celebration for a few tequilitas. Tacos will be the best hangover prevention plus, they will build drinking stamina.

If Sol is in, so am I.
Plus I can count on her giving a good translation of what interesting delights await us.
I can't wait for this field trip.

I swear to GOD they make some of the BEST "Purina Borracho Chow" in the UNIVERSE!

Okay, okay, we are getting a lot of peeps joining up, which is fine, BUT....

Keep in mind...

1. We are going to be IN and OUT in a lot of these places! I'd like to hit as several different places in only an hour or two. IN and OUT...

2. We are going WAY, WAY, WAY off the beaten track here. Some of these places will NOT look like you want to eat there, trust me! There is NO shame in heading over to HC for arrachera, letting Jesus and I "take one for the team" and then read about it later...

3. Back to issue number 1... I didn't expect this many peeps to show an interest in going. I think we may have to limit the group size, ONLY because these places we hit will likely NOT be set up to handle a dozen people showing up all at once. Jesus, Luis and I have talked about this, plus I will have my father and son with me, so that's five right there. If you wanna come, please make SURE you are really up for it!

Jesus - we had talked about doing two of these runs - perhaps we should try and encourage people to try and join us for one or the other, so we can keep a small group size and maximize the number of peeps we tour with? Do you want to plan on one tour Saturday lunch and another the following Sunday for dinner? Let me know...

are you looking for obscure 'Fear Factor' eats or just hole-in-the-wall / changarros?

I want out of the way, working class, hole in the wall stuff. The "fear factor" factor was never the point. If the owner of the place says they serve great arrachera, I will want to try that. If they owner says they serve great tripe, I want to try that. I can't speak for Jesus, but I'm willing to just ask the folks behind the counter what they suggest and let them take the lead. I don't want to go out of my way to eat "weird" food, I just want to find good, well prepared, authentic Mexican food, whether or not its something my American palate is used to eating...

P.S. I've decided I'm gonna take a pass on the vagina tacos...

I'm good for two runs of the tour or three: 1-before A's party, 2-past midnight after the party, 3- the day after in the afternoon (so we don't have so many hungover corpses).

Yup, the idea is not the eat snails and rectum tacos, but to find tasty food some of the Peeps had wanted to try but were afraid of doing because of the spouse or haven't had the opportunity yet. If we can find huitlacoche (corn smutt) or chapulines or similar items and sombody wants to give it a try and then don't like it, I will finish that taco, no problem,

I had snails in China, at my Granny's house, I haven't had none as good since then.

Yeah. Daisy rocks... Much sexier than Ron Jeremy...!

I prefer escargot French style, with garlic, parsley and butter. Ummmm....!
