Congrats to Mr. Biggio on 3000 hits

As most of you Houstonites will know, Mr. Biggio got his 3000th hit tonight. Yes, I may live in the land of snow & frigid temps (not right now!!) Houston as bad as the team is right now, is still my favorite team. He's seems a class act in a sporting world full of jerks.

Grand Slam just won it for Houston, 8 - 5.
Biggio with an infield hit to keep the inning going....with 2 out and down by a run.
Went 5 for 6 tonight.

I had to work the night shift last night and had to learn about it from the news.

9th player to acomplish the feat with just one team. Big up's to "Big Hurt" Frank Thomas also. 500 dingers...

Anyone remember when 2 milestones happened on the same day in MLB? I remember Ricky "I am the greatest!" Henderson breaking the stolen base record, only to be overshadowed by Nolan Ryan's 7th no hitter with the Rangers. Cool stuff!

Craig Biggio 2nd baseman for the Houston Astro's, went an amazing 5 for 6 last night against the Co. Rockies to become only the 27th Player in Baseball History to get 3,000 hits in a career !!! KUDO'S CRAIG !!!

That's Great !! I can tell we are in much different Tax Bracket's if you live that close to to Bigg !! I live in West Houston, near Wetheimer and Hwy. 6, for the time being, I just bought a place in Paamul, 10 mi. south of Playa !!!! Have my one-way ticket for 8/15, just in time for Angel's 40th B-Day Bash 8/18 !!

No kidding...I have company too, and we can't haven't been able to lay out or enjoy the pool. Just got done watching some Wimbledon and now are waiting for lunch, and then maybe heading to Montrose for a little strolling and shopping. You have a great weekend too!
