avatars and changing name

I recently registered and put my last instead of first name and would like to change it. I've gone into profile and changed it and gotten the msg it's been updated, but it hasn't. Help?

Got the info to insert URL in profile to place avatar on left under name, but how do I use clip art? When I go into Microsoft Office Gallery, I don't find a URL to copy and paste. Sorry, I'm not too savant.
