What audacity to call the Stampede the "Greatest outdoor show on Earth". These people have obviously not travelled. I have seen better shows, parades, amusement parks in small towns in Europe.
How about the parade. It has got to be one of the biggest disapointment to tourist that come to Calgary. Where is the Pagentry, the spark, the stars??
What the hell are religious floats doing in the parade? They have no place there. It is obvious that the Stampede board wants to keep the parade an "all Canadian" affair as there are rarely any foreign guests save for some American marching bands.
You want a great parade? Drop the Canadian flag and pick up the phone. Call Disney to send a float and mascots, call some major colleges to send marching bands and acrobatic cheerleaders, call Vegas and get some "special guest" to be in the parade.....Ha, I can think of one Canadian float that would greatly impress tourists......Cirque du Soleil.

Get some world class musical talent! Not just some local unknown, Heck they can't even get their own Shania Twain!! Believe it or not they have one called Shania TWIN! Want Canadian? Call Cirque du Soleil...have them bring a float!

The streets:
The streets are full of dust and gravel left over from winter. What a shame. The main pedestrian mall and downtown sidewalks are full of "goo", Spit, stains. The city does NO street cleaning. Great impression for the tourists.

Darn touristas are everywhere . Cant even get out on the highway to do my job . Every other car has California plates and every third one has British Columbia plates. Cant wait for the rain already .

I'm ticked off because we put a pool in this spring. Water is too dang cold to swim in . The water temp got up to 82 for a few days then back to 70's. I think we have been in pool 5 to 7 times. Paying for it the winter and not using it is one thing, I expected that to happen.
