Worrying
I just booked a honeymoon trip for 5 days in early October. I should have come here first, I just read the weather info for Sept. and Oct. I am hoping to get some feedback from the knowledgable people on this board as to what I can expect in regards to the weather in October.

What will the weather be during those five days at your home? Can you predict or guarantee it?
Same goes for Mexico, while I love the internet, the weather forcast are just plain wrong. Can you have bad weather while you are there? Yes you can. Can anyone predict what the weather will be? NO. You just have to take your chances. Congradulations on your upcoming nuptuals. Oh by the way, worrying is against the law in Mexico  |

re: october weather
Ocoter is in the heart of hurricane & tropical storm season, but it is certainly no gaurantee that either will occur or that you'll have a lot of rain even ... it can be very pleasant and temperate for weeks at a time ...as noted by other posts, the weather is hard to predict even a few days before a given date ... kjtom

you know...you can worry yourself to death or think of it this way...you could slip in the shower tomorrow and crack your skull, but most of us don't spend precious moments contemplating that horrible unlikelihood. Mother Nature can choose to strike at any time...we worry about hurricanes here in Florida and where I lived previously off the coast of Georgia; but I see the tornadoes that sweep across the midwest and feel extremely lucky.
Enjoy your trip, if that's the time that works best for you. If you're really worried....purchase trip insurance. |

Why Worry?
We will be taking our third October trip to Playa this year and have managed to have great weather on both trips. We did manage to miss two hurricanes. Here is a link that you can check before you go: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/index.shtml.
Enjoy! |

October weather
I have been in Cozumel/Playa del Carmen for one to three weeks in October for the past several years and the weather was never a problem. You'll find it to be dry/rainy, windy/calm, hot/cool, dark/light and wonderful.
