Activities for preschoolers

We will be bringing our preschool grdchildren in 2 weeks. We will be at an AI which will provide plenty of fun for them. My husband and I just love town and we are looking for kid friendly activities. also we are wondering which companies offer kid friendly catamaran trips

Our guide said that preschoolers can go on the Fat Cat.

There's a small playground near the ferry pier and another near the soccer stadium but your AI will probably have better.

You'd need a rental car or a taxi to go to Crococun or Aktun Chen and I think that preschoolers would like those places.

We have found that our kids are just as happy playing on the beach all day as they are going anywhere. We take them between pool and beach. We let them have plenty of snacks and drink and eat lunch on the beach. At night, they play flashlight tag and I bring glow sticks.

The playground down by the pier is....well........use at your own risk. The last time we were there, there were extension cords running through the playground that were hooked to a standard outlet which was then hooked to another extention cord. Jut keep your eyes open. It is entertaining to watch our kids (American) interact with the Mexican kids. They don't have a clue what the other is saying but they seem to understand a smile and play together.

Don't over think it!

We recently took our 2 1/2 year old to Playa.

She loved the beach (especially Akumal Bay, since it was so calm) and the pool.

She also liked the playground by the soccer field.

We went to La Cueva del Chango for lunch one day, and she had a lot of fun feeding the fish in one of their ponds. (The waitresses gave her bread.)

She liked walking thru the "jungle" at Coba on the way in, but on the way out she was definitely getting tired.

Most of all, she liked having our undivided attention.

thanks all
Our grandkids will be at beach all of time. We love going into town and was interested in a fun place to kind of help keep their interest in being in town for a while.
We hope to take them on a catamaran or at least ferry to Cozumel.
