Chock up one vote for the mom and kid here.
The stewardess is going to get her wings clipped. Suggesting that the Mother "drug" the kid was also a very bad move.

I agree, don't disturb the peace, but it is a compromise sometimes, and it obviously wasn't a big deal to the other pasengers. The child wasn't screaming or thowing up everywhere, totally uncalled for IMO.

As civil people we should be accomodating to each other not throwing children and mothers off planes because the child wouldn't stop talking.

Rediculous.

IMO of course.
Well if you put it that way, then you are right. I always picture a kid having a full body meltdown. That would almost annoy the dead.

You've got to be kidding me You agree with kicking off a toddler for saying "Bye, Bye plane??? Just curious, do you have children?

We spent a 6 hour flight home from Cancun in May with a 4 month old that cried almost the entire way. The flight attendant eventually gave us all earplugs. I felt bad for both mother and child. It wasn't the baby's fault nor the mother's. I would not have wanted them kicked off the plane.

edit: and by the way..........we were in first class

Its the "common folk" that are too common that annoy me. You know, the nail cliping on board the plane, the stink feet, the kicking the seat back, the drunks, the loud talkers,.......the crying kids.

Kids are angels only in the eyes of the parents.

Seems on topic to me.

People who haven't had kids sometimes assume that parents can have total control over their children's behavior if only they tried hard enough, as in (in this case) drugging them! If you've had kids, you know that it's not always possible to control every aspect of their behavior no matter how much you may want to at times.

I know a lot of adults who can't control their own behavior, why should children be expected to be perfectly well-behaved?

Listen ....I really dont think I'm off topic. My kids are teenagers so I dont have to worry about them crying and upsetting other passengers ..However...I do remember being a young parent traveling with my kids and hoping they'd be on their best behavior, hoping they wouldnt disrupt any other travelers....I feel quite a bit of compassion for ANY young parent being put on the spot like that by that stewardess.....Hell maybe its just me...I guess compared to you I'm a "softie"???

Interesting comment. Do you personally know the family? Were you there?

Great idea though. You should get a job for the airlines and as people board the plane you can point to the ones you want to fly in the cargo hold.
