I think that article hits the nail on the head.

IMHO, the majority of parents traveling with children are incredibly stressed out and worried about keeping their kids happy, quiet, and occupied during the flight. However, as usual, we generally hear about the minority...the bratty parents. They are NOT bratty kids....they are bratty parents. Children learn appropriate limits to their behavior from their parents. If children are badly behaved, blame the parents, not the innocent kids. And.....have a little compassion...some of us are pulling our hairs out trying to keep our kids out of your way.

So if my 17 month old gets overly tired on the plane next month, and does cry, I will take full bratty responsibility....
