Perhaps they should throw off those who fall asleep and drool or worse snore... How about those passengers who take up more than their share of the seat or the ones who bring a "carry on" and slam it into everyone as the walk down the isle and 10 minutes trying to fit it into the overhead compartment or how about those folks who get up during take off to use the bathroom...should they all be kicked off too??

The way I see it, the only way to make everyone happy is for all of us to have our own private planes, this way we wouldn't distrube the poor annoyed person next to us...

BTW - IMO the flight attendant should lose her job!

I know a lot of adults who can't control their own behavior, why should children be expected to be perfectly well-behaved?
It is off topic beacause I HAD a kid. I Know what its like to have one and I also know what it is like to have lost one....how many of you can say that!!

At the end of the day it is the adult that is in charge, NOT the child. There is no excuse for unruly, brats where the parent does nothing....in my eyes your off the plane immediately. As I said above, it would seem that the flight attendant over reacted.... BUT...if the never-ending-stammering of the child was indeed true then, off the plane. To quote Mr. Spock, " the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few".

Maintain the peace.

On a flight from Chicago to Salt Lake there was a young couple with a small one who was just not having a good day. They tried to calm him but he threw a fit about being belted in on takeoff. Very, very vocal. The were in the middle section and I was sitting one row back and on the window seat. By mid flight a woman from about four rows ahead got up came back and just unloaded on this young couple. The couple tried to apologize for the noise but when the the lady from up front suggested that there were things to give kids while traveling the gloves came off. The kids mom lunged from her seat and it was a huge potential fist fight. I thought to myself that this could be way better than the movie. She was raging about "How dare you ask me to poison my baby" About the time some of us were lookimg at each other with that "someone should do something", three flight attendents showed up and split the two women who were now down to berating each other about ancestery and sexual preference. Two attendents took the mom aside and the other one sternly took the other over near the rear of the plane.
I for one was glad that the attendents stepped in before on of us would have had to. The incident that started this thread may be an exception, but for the most part attendents work hard under what is for a lot of people a stressfull time.
Although it did make for an exciting 10 minutes of the flight.

Great idea though. You should get a job for the airlines and as people board the plane you can point to the ones you want to fly in the cargo hold.
Ouch, but good point. There are a lot of fellow passengers I would like to relegate to the cargo hold. And as horror stories of travelling keep piling up, maybe the airline industry would make more money if they put us all there. At least they wouldn't HEAR the complaints about spending 6 hours on the tarmac.

To answer your question - sadly, a good number of folks on this board have also experienced the lost of a child. Unfortunately, you are not alone there.

Thanks! How nice of you. Unfortunately you should return that plastic crystal ball you bought at Walmart for a full refund.
I will spare you my "readings" of you lest you loose sleep at night...now run along.

I'm part of the fan club, as well. Now, if I were a Canadian or had to sit next to him on an airplane, I might feel differently.

Hrlydavison, not a nice post. I find Electra's response bitter and immature, but he/she is entitled to his/her opinion without your characterizations.

Electra, try some of these, they are wonderful.

How old will Riley be on in August? 16, 17 months??? Something like that right? Whatever you do, don't let her say "Bye, Bye plane". Or maybe just put a little tequila in a sippy, you are going to Mexico
