Hello from England

Hello everyone! I have used this forum for a while now but have just pipped up courage to start posting.
Myself, my husband and our darling 6 yo son are visitng the Occidental Grand Xcaret in September this year. We went to the Riu Tequila for our honeymoon in September last year and loved the area so much we are going back. We are really looking forward to it - especially after the dreadful summer we are having here, many people I know have lost almost everything in the floods late last month and our area was the worst hit in the country. So some lovely Mexican sunshine is just what the doctor ordered.
I have been studying Spanish for 2 years now and am pleased to say I am reaching a degree of fluency. It was great last year being able to converse with people and being able to learn from them too.
Hope I haven't waffled on too much but I thought I'd better make myself known.
X

Hiya! Is that Birmingham, West Midlands or Birmingham, Alabama?
Oh and by the way - you haven't had MY puddings because if you had you would be in the emergency room by now!!! I did not inherit my granny's gift for making our staple diet so have to rely on Aunt Bessies frozen ones! My husband actually makes a cracking Yorkshire pudding to my eternal shame!

I've seen those floodings on the news. Dreadful.
Hope you'll be cured soon by those Mexican rays...
