Taco stand La Floresta
Okay, tried search engine first, didn't see anything right off hand. Friend of ours just returned from a month down there told us to try La Floresta right on the Hwy (Juarez & Constitutients area (Sp)?) Might be on the right side of the hwy heading into Playa.
Heard the pico de gallo & guacamole were to die for, anyone been there yet? Stew, Mark, any locals ??? |

I just used "floresta" as the search term. http://www.playa.info/playa-del-carm...archid=1486319 But, there is no thread about La Floresta on it's own. ![]() |

some consider it the original contemporary shrimp taco in Playa. They were on the highway before it was a highway.

oKAY, Saw La Floresta while I was there but did not get to stop & eat. Did get to go to HC de Monterrey and their prices have gone up 20 pesos since last year but also offer more than they use to. Still that arracherro is to die for !!!!! My SIL complained about the heat until I crammed a fork load of meat (nothing dirty here) down her throat. She agreed, great place !!

Well, at least you went to HC and had excellent company,
![]() I tried to go to HC a couple times but to my disfortune both of them they were closed. So I have to kidnap Stewie and force him to come with me on this comming trip, ![]() |

Floresta Shrimp tacos are arguably the best available in PDC currently and have been IMHO for sometime. The car park that is packed everyday from 11.00am to 3pm is fairly indicative of how the locals feel about the price quality ! Though if I didnt have a car I probably wouldnt eat there so often as there are good Tacos much closer to home base.

We always lunch there a couple of times each trip... DH is hooked on the shrimp tacos but I adore the fish!...

Excellent tacos.
I ate there twice last week. Fish and Shrimp are my favorites. Usually the fish and shrimp wouldn't fit in a single tortilla, but they'd bring you more tortillas if you ask. And I got a flan napolitano from their ice cream stand. Their micheladas are very good also. |
