bicycle from PDC

Newbie here wondering....

Anyone ever gotten a lift from the Playa bus station to your resort using the "bicycle guys" (sorry, don't know what they are called). We are taking the ADO bus from cancun and thought it might be fun and different from taking a cab. we are staying at Riu Yucatan.

Hmmm...I'm looking at a potential business idea here. By the way, I read MaestraNBA's report and I was looking at those funny looking cabs they have in Oaxaca. Environmentally friendly for sure and kinda of fun to ride too.

Welcome to the forum. I'll let someone else handle your question, since their name escapes me right now too, and I don't know where the Riu Yucatan is located. If it is a ways, you'll probably need a taxi.
But, once again, welcome.

I don't think a triciclero will take you to your resort (it's a bit of a ride for them to that resort), but you can ask.

Hey thanks! I don't know how far Riu Yucatan is either - hopefully its not too far so we can do something somewhat different for transportation.

Ya, I totally can't see a triciclero leaving the confines of Playa and taking people AND their luggage through Playacar to the Yucatan. That's a haul and I don't know how much it would cost to make it worth his time and effort.

A cab is $5.00 - easy peasy!

Why would you do that when the ADO bus is cheap and comfortable? He didn't ask about airport transfers anyway. Sorry, I just don't have a stomach for blatant butt-kissing.

It’s because it's the easiest way to get directly to the hotel. And we don't have to find the buss. I may be lazy, but it's not butt-kissing really. Though it may look like it. It's many people reading this Forum. Not only the person who asked the question.

So, sleep in. Naps are a good thing. Personally,we always use the Ado/taxi option as well, but there's plenty of folks prefer the convenience of door-to door service, and Thor was merely pointing it out as an alternative.

Besides, a lot of people enjoy this free forum so much they'd like to show their host (Playa.info) the courtesy of pointing out the services provided by this very site to newbies. It's a more a question of being polite than anything else. Perhaps you should try it.

edit: sorry if I now come off as grumpy, but the butt-kissing comment kind of ticked me off. I'm over it now.

Anna, you seem stressed........I find the best way to overcome stress is to book a TULUM and BEYOND or a SEA to CENOTE tour!!!

See playa.info for details!!!!!
