Talking We G'n Ta Didny Wuld!

Rick says I shouldn't say it that way, but what other way is there to say WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

He's never been and I haven't been since my sons were in grade school, about 12 years ago. But I had gone a buncha times before that and I L-O-V-E it!!! Learned from experience that around Labor Day is one of the slowest times, so that's when we'll be there for 5 nights.

We actually have former PI poster "OGreenlee" to thank for a thread she started about a special they were having that got us a great low rate that includes the Disney Dining Plan. We're staying in one of the lower-end hotels - All Star Movie Resort - but all the Disney properties are fantastic and it's not like we'll be there that much. We've made all our dinner reservations, which were fun to plan, and have our daily park touring plan mostly figured out (well... I do , Rick is going along with MY agenda is more like it).

We're combining this with the annual fall-trip-to-the-states-to-see-family, etc, but this trip will include lots of fun stuff too with Disney and Jacko's Peep Meet and hopefully something more exciting for Rick in my hometown than sitting on the couch with my Mom watching Wheel of Fortune.

Anyway, I forget about WDW for a few days and then I spend a few days as excited as a little kid while I sit and plan more and tell Rick how much fun we're going to have (which he's not so sure about... yet!)

No, it won't be quite the same kind of magic as Isamal and Rio Lagartos, but I'm looking forward to this magical vacation all the same!

So does this mean you two will be making a stop in the Columbus area? If so, Keith and I would love to steal you and Rick away from Momma for a few adult beverages and/or dinner.

ooo ooo ooo!! That's so exciting! We've stayed at the all star movies (and the all star sports)...they are perfectly fine since you don't spend much time in your room anyway. The pools there are huge and wonderful.

The dining plan is awesome! We'd never go again without doing it that way. So much fun to eat and plan your eating! I hope you are going to eat at the Canadian pavillion in Epcot, La Cellier. It is the highest rated restaurant in all of Disney! Great, great food.

I'm kinda envious, I know I was just there last xmas, but I love it so much. You guys'll have so much fun! It is totally NOT a place just for kids.

We tried and they were full! My favorite place in all of Disney World is actually one of the least popular restaurants because people aren't familiar with the food.

Marrakesh in Morocco at Epcot has the yummiest food and the floor show is usually interesting also. So we'll eat there and Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Brown Derby at MGM and Teppanedo in Japan at Epcot. Not too crazy about that last one, but maybe I can call them back and see if I can switch the Morocco night with that one and get in at Le Cellier instead.

Well I definitely had to reply to this thread! I LOVE WDW!!! Went in 1982 for our honeymoon, took the boys there 3 times and then last Sept. Steve and I went for our 24th anniversary.

Sept is a great time to go, low crowds! We've been 3 times in Sept. and two times in August.... big difference!

If there is any way you can upgrade to a moderate, do it! We stayed at Coronado Springs and it is beautiful! Last Sept we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, also very nice.

Go to the Boardwalk area one night and go to Jellyrolls, it's a piano bar with dueling pianos... lots of fun!

That dining package is a great deal!

Man.... I want to go back

We took Gracie when she was younger. We are all feeling the pull to go back. I will never go in July again that is for sure.
Would love to go during the winter months, but then the water parks are not open.

I think Sept. would be a great time to go...have fun.
