We took a taxi to Xel-Ha from Secrets. It was around $40/each way. Worth it to us because we wanted our own schedule. Our driver who took us to Xel-ha asked if he could wait for us rather than finding a new driver for the way back and we said "ok". (Same price). So, if you think you want to go to both places(Xel-ha and Tulum), get a taxi and negociate. It is 45 minutes to Xel-ha and I think it was worth it for him to wait for us. We got there at noon and left at 6pm.
