Hi everyone!

I am a newbie from Phoenix! I'm heading down to PDC in 10 DAYS!!! I wish I had found this site earlier, but it's okay...I'm devouring trip reports as we speak!

Let me give a little bit more information about myself!

This trip for me is going to be HUGE! I haven't been out of the country in over 6 years and that was for my honeymoon (Cabo San Lucas). It was a great trip, but this time...I'm no longer married.

The past 2 years have been the hardest of my life. I'm surviving and this trip is a reward and challenge for me. I'm traveling with my best friend, Brook who is recently divorced as well. We both desparately need this trip to get away from everything that has happened. Not to mention Brook has never seen the ocean...I figured we would start out the right way and jump in with both feet and see the gorgeous PDC ocean!

Anyways, this is the first time I will be leaving my 4 year old son for longer than 3 days. He has his first plane ride to spend 8 days with his father who moved to Colorado. It's a huge deal for everyone involved.

And I couldn't be more excited to finally do this. I have been planning this trip since January and I'm ready!!!! And I'm even all packed!!!

Hello from Montreal, a bit about yourself ha lol

. Wow, 1st trip in 6 years! it's about time to spoil yourself! 2 recent divorces on the same boat(so to speak) Is this trip (another) honeymoon in the making! hmmmm. I hope you enjoy yourself and mostly make sure you relaxxxxxx, there are so many places to see and things to do in and around PDC.

My wife and daughter just returned from Playa for a 10 day vacation, they loved it. I'm planning my 4th trip for next jan/feb., for a 4 or 5 weeks stay. Make sure you guys head down to Xel-Ha, It's the most beautifull Lagoon around (I think) been there twice, I'm a 3 time Playa fan and although it's getting more crowded and noisier, I love Playa Del Carmen.

Which Hotel are you staying at? I'm looking at a few right now for my next trip. You will enjoy playa for sure!

Yup, I think it's about freaking time I went on a much-deserved vacation! No, not a honeymoon in the making (we both prefer men

)...but it wouldn't hurt to meet some cute guys in their 30's while we are down there!

We are staying in a big resort. It is a timeshare trade from RCI courtesy of my parents...so we took it! We have several trips on our iterinary and we just can't wait to get down there!

Playa is a great place to meet many interesting people from all over the world, I love the cosmopolitain aspect of Playa.

How wonderful for you to be giving yourself this very needed vacation to Playadise

I hope you and your dear friend who have been through so much go back home after your wonderful trip feeling stronger and ready to take on the world again!Have a ball girls! I don't see how two single girls going to Playa could have anything other than the time of their lives...
