Playa Maya/ Mimi Del Mar?

HI everyone! OK..my husband and I are trying to decide between staying at the Playa Maya (my choice) or the Mimi Del Mar (his choice)....I have read so many GREAT reviews regarding the PM...but there are not so many reviews regaridng the MIMI. Any advice??? THANKS!

I know it's not an option for you because it's sold out, but I have to add that this is my new favorite hotel in Playa. I absolutely ADORE it.

I have stayed at Playa Maya a couple of times and loved it, but I do have to say this for Mimi del Mar - much more comfortable beds! Even going from a Deluxe Balcony at PM to a Standard room at MDM, I slept much better at Mimi.

Wow! What kind of beds did they have, then? Generally we hear the reverse from guests or in online comments -- that they find our beds more comfortable than anywhere else they've stayed in Mexico -- though of course as I've noted before, there's a lot of personal variation on this issue.

And in your case, you would have gone from a Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress with foam pad on top to whatever they have there. So, just surprised!

I prefer hard beds..................makes me feel better in the morning
Wherever you decide to stay, you have to have the coconut shrimp at Playa Maya.....it's the best I've ever tasted
