What is this fruit called in Mexico?
I've had it in the Caribbean islands and know the different names there, but for the life of me, cannot remember what they called it in Mexico! In Nicaragua this fruit is called Mamón or mamoncillo. Even asked a Mexican friend who now lives in Switzerland and she cannot remember

Thanks Denise. I had done a search online and came up with those names but wanted to be certain. We bought several bunches in Valladolid and in Playa as well. They were less sweet this time, but it's still a favourite with us.
Have any of you guys tried them? |

This quite funny to me as I was at the zocalo area today and bought a fruit cup con limon y chile and I, too, inquired about this fruit. The lady told me they are called ´guaya`...I guess this is the fruit and please correct me if spelled incorrectly
