Terminal 2 or Terminal 3?

Today I talked to the representatives of US Airways. They claim they do not know which terminal in Cancun any given flight will go to. And that we can only find this information at check in. That set off my bullsh*t detector.

I need to know which terminal I arrive at so that I can make it easier for my airport pickup. Four people, tons of luggage, a dog etc etc. And the people will be tired and cranky from an overnight flight. For these reasons I wanted to make the arrival easier if I could.

According to posters on some other forums ALL flights arriving in Cancun from airports in US arrive at Terminal 3. Well I know for a fact that is not true. But perhaps it could be that all flights that are not going to the charter terminal (1) and have set out from an airport in the US arrive at Terminal 3. That person on the other forum did list Jet Blue as an exception.

What have been your recent experiences?

And if anyone has flown in by US Air that would be highly relevant.

(and if you flew in before Terminal 3 opened or don’t know what terminal you arrived in please don’t post.).

Wiki shows US Air as a Terminal 3 airline. Can anyone confirm that they do in fact arrive at T3.

Thank-you both.

OK so we'll bet on T3.

Funny how US Air can't be sure......I guess they need to give those folks in the India call center an update.

Thank-you also. It looks like we'll be finding out if US Air will let us board the flight even though one passenger does not have a passport application receipt, us passport, or even a birth certificate (as the passport people have that). Hopefully logic will prevail.

Than was then, this is now:
You will be flying in and out of Terminal 3.
When you are departing, you will find that they have figured out every last way to get those last few pesos out of you. The escalator will take you up and right into a huge duty free store and you must go through it to get to your gate.
I did have a good lunch at Jimmy Buffett's Air Margaritaville though.

I'm just a Country Boy. My plane landed where it had to and went to the Gate it was told to go to.
It was the Gate with all the green/red light thing and all the Drivers outside the door.

Terminal 2 or Terminal 3?

I flew in there 3 wks ago yesterday & flew home 2 wks ago (boohoo)... It was terminal 3 both ways! I was told (don't know if it's correct that all US regular flights go in & leave T-3!
I have to agree with the poster who said they have found every way to benefit financially from the new terminal... a HUGE duty-free shop... w/ ciggies they don't sell anywhere else there... a whole cosmetics area... several jewelry areas..... kinda like "hey, did you forget ANYONE back home?" ;-) or did ya forget to buy something for yourself? No pressure though.. and several good restaurants there. We also ate at Margaritaville & wished we had split a sandwich plate... way too much for anyone to eat!
Only problem is I bought 2 bracelets at the jewelry shop... and can't find them anywhere since I got home... I'm thinking I must have left them on the plan in Charlotte...... Guess I need to plan to go back to get replacements! :-)

Again, from what I saw two weeks ago, ALL domestic US carriers including charter carriers will go in and out of Terminal 3. Also, some overseas carriers will go out of T3.
Terminal 2 is now used for ALL domestic Mexican carriers and possibly carriers to South America.
There is an Immigration office in Terminal 3 also.
From what I can figure out, all of the records will be stored in Terminal 1.

Thanks everyone re. NWA

will let BestDay know to pick us up at Terminal 3. Now another question. Does the ADO bus stop at Terminal 3 or do you go to #2 and shuttle back. Sorry if I missed this somewhere else in this thread.
