First: Welcome to the forum, Georgi!
I edited your post to remove the email address. It might save them a whole lot of spam.

Second: yes, the "mx" at the end of the address is correct.

Third: yes, many people, including myself, think IB* Tucan/Quetzal is a great resort.

Here's a map:

If you know how to look for them, you will find most of the answers to the questions you will probably have.

I've been there twice, both on the Tucan side of the twin resort that Tucan/Quetzal actually is. And both times I was in buiding #10, which are Junior Suites. Right at the beach.

our first 2 trips staying on Quetzal side, we were in building 21. This is the last building of regular rooms (not suites, which is building 20 on Quetzal side). I recently sent a request to the above mentioned email requesting building 21 again. We prefer to be as close as possible to the beach and pool. The flamingos make some noise according to some but dont remember which buildings are affected by them. Seems like the middle buildings 24 and 25???

Plaza will be kinda quiet after 11.00 pm. Then a movie will be shown.
If you look closely at the map, you'll see Disco Mascara at "N", where the noise will continue into the wee hours...
Still...personally, I'd like to be a bit closer to the Ocean, but there are pro's and cons to every location.

I can't answer that question for you, Georg.
What might be the ultimate building for one person to stay in, might be the total opposite for someone else. Basically you could say you really can't go wrong anywhere on the resort. Besides: you don't want to spend too much time in your room anyway, right?
But I'm not the one going there and have to leave it up to you to decide for yourself.

I have stayed in 10, 12, 17, and 23. All were good rooms. We usually stay up until midnight or so, so the Music at the shows didn't bother us.

I prefer to stay closer to the beach, 17 and 23 were great for this.

The resort is not large as resorts go. You can walk from the beach to the lobby in less than 5 minutes at an easy pace.

As Tony said, all of the rooms are good.

We will be going back in September for our 7th time.
