Just backing up what woodman said. We haven't used them yet, but everything is included and I've heard good things.
Never heard of ACE though....

Just: "caribbean car rental playa del carmen"

It was the last option on the list. I just love Google.

I probably lost patience and didn't go through them all! This address is the same as America car rental, which is a little cheaper for the same car. I wonder if they're one in the same?

Perhaps it was due to spelling?

OMG, I'm sooooo bad!!

Jesus, I've been caught again!!

I did type it the wrong way, and you know how Google asks if you meant "the correct spelling"? Well, it did and I clicked it!!

I have been getting quotes...compared carribean car rental to National (which we have used many times with no problems), and even when you add all available insurances to the National quote, you can get a better car for less money with National. I would recommend going with a very well known company. Never heard of Ace or Carribean.

We have used Ace many times - always satisfied. They are a booking agent for Executive - a reliable local service with convenient lot locations in CUN airport and in Playa by the airfield.

Our on-line reservations via Ace have always been cheaper than Executive's direct on-line offers. The Executive offices have pleasantly accepted the Ace reservation rates every time. Cars have always been of good quality and low mileage.

One tip - don't forget a hard copy printout of the Ace confirmation. Executive agents have a hard time finding it by your name on their computer. It is in there, but hard to find for some reason. When you provide the Ace Reservation Number the find it immediately and the rates are same as your quote.

We've also used Thrifty and been satisfied.

Thanks for the info! I'm just about ready to make the on-line reservation, but was waiting to hear if anyone had info on ACE. And the fact that they're near the airport in Playa is good. We're staying at Xaman Ha so we can walk right over there to pick it up!

So when we pick it up we'd go to the Executive office?

Have you checked the price with all of the insurance included...I just went to their website, and it certainly looks as if the insurance charges are much higher than, say National?

I'm going to check and compare all of them now. It has to be an equal comparison, so this could take some time!
