Yeah, true. Overall it's not a great thing for the economy.

One thing I wish, too, is that prices on things like greeting cards and magazines, and other consumer goods from clothing to running shoes to toasters would start to reflect it already. Sheesh! Why are we still paying $4.95 Cdn for a magazine that cost $3.50 Usd? That is just ridiculous!

what about travellers cheques @ par? my hubby was in Idaho a couple of years ago with traveller's cheques. I sent him to Walmart to buy jeans for our kids cuz they are so much cheaper down there. He used a TC to pay and they took it and didn't bother with converting! He told them it was CDN...but they didn't do anything but give him US$ change!
