We are going to Gainey Winery next Sat. for a wedding. We (Derek and Annette) are also going on a wine tour Thur. next week. We are hauling the trailer to stay in so we need to find a campsite. It seems the one closest to the wedding is first come first serve. We hope to stay on the beach. Do you know if we have a good chance of finding a spot? Are you close to Gainey Winery? Annette

We will bring our 17 month old. Derek's Mom will join us, to spend time with Bryson (the 17 month old)., while wine tasting and during the wedding. We are enjoy camping and prefer that instead of chocolate on the pillow and a pool. If we can't find a spot to camp, would you mind if we parked at your place? I would love to meet you. P.S. We would find a safe way back. (taxi/cab) to our destination. Annette |

Rent a massage therapist and someone to do mani/pedis....had a friend who did this a few years ago....everyone pitched in....they had a GREAT time! Nothing like sipping girlie/tropical drinks while getting your nails done, surrounded by your best buddies

I've always kept up with my girl friends. There was a lull (we never stopped having girl's nite) for awhile when we were busy with kids and babies, but now that our kids are older or grown we are doing so much more together. I'm really appreciating them more and more. We now have what we call our Ya-Ya Sisterhood moments. Just code for having to rustle up the girls in a hurry for a crisis. We gone through divorce, loss of a family members, miscarriages, health problems, and I'm sure it was our girl's nites that firmly cemented our friendships to get us through the rough times.
I haven't been to that area of Calif. in about 6 years. Is there anywhere to club these days? (edit: I mean in your area) I'm full of questions. Is the Hitching Post in Casmalia still there across from the Toxic Waste Dump? Nojoqui Falls was our favorite park. I've lived all up and down CA but this was the only area I wish we could get back to...maybe one day. You are so lucky. What's the weather like there today? You work at a winery...I'm so going to have to visit.

Instead of Truth or Dare -- which I cannot stand -- try a game called
"Would You Rather?" You give the person a choice: eg, "Would you rather get hit by a pie in the face, or have to walk barefoot through a deep, muddy puddle?" With proper imagination and beverages, it becomes quite entertaining! |

. Thanks a lot for the info. It seems all of those sites are first come first serve. We are arriving on Wed., so I hope we can find a spot.

Ahhh, I remember the last sleep-over, it was out at the farm, Julie's parent's place (I went to school with Julie's brother). Stil back in high school......
We lit a huuuge bonfire out in the field, stole a bunch of nasty "cornshine" from a buddy's dad, it was evil stuff. One buddy nicked "Boner" (6'2', 120lbs) dropped his glasses away from the bonfire, so he carved a huge circle in the fresh, steaming cow-turd to mark where they were, with his bare hands ![]() Later on he ripped his pants and underwear off, used them to make a torch so he could find his glasses, not the best thing to see your buddy wrecked on moonshine, tool box swinging all over the place, covered in cow turd. We all passed out in the back of my Ford Ranger (after getting Boner some clothes from the farm of course), parked nose-down on a hill, it rained hard, we were all head-first towards the cab, we all almost drowned by the morning since the sealed box liner was filling with water. Nice. ![]() Don't drink moonshine, this is the only recommendation I can make right now!

We had homemade mojitos, got the recipe from this site, but I would use sprite or 7 up instead of the club soda A friend made this jerked chicken stuff. Basically you cook up some chicken breasts(not sure what spices to use ) You dice up a pineapple, but save the top. Warm up the diced pinapple in a pan. Put the top on a plate in the middle, around it you put whole leaves of romaine lettuce, on top of the lettuce you put your chicken(oh, cut that up too ), some diced up red bell pepper, the diced pineapple, black beans and bacon bits. You can pour a sauce over it, she made the sauce with mayo and lime juice (and maybe something else??)Anyway, it was great, and it'd be fairly easy to experiment with it. Finish up with some rum cake topped with kiwi for dessert. Sorry, no party games, it was a bachelorette party, so they're probably not the party games you were thinking of! ![]() ![]() It's a fun, healthy meal and tropical too! edit: Okay, so read through the whole thread. If you're looking for fun stuff, we didn't really play any games, we just drank and talked. BUT... a friend did bring small chocolates for all the girls, round chocolate cookie thing with a variety of penises on top, whichever you prefer!!! They were tasty and good for some laughs!
