My hubby and I are both chunks, with chunky tendencies.

Our GP, when he first met us, was so obviously trying not to make us feel self-conscious about the weight issue ... I guess docs are trying that tack now, to ensure return visits ...

He assured us that if we were back in the cavemen days, we would be the "alpha" neanderthals, because we had a food storage gene that was really, really important back then, when one had to go days without food ...

That actually made sense to me, especially since it flattered me.

It's obvious to me that this research doesn't go far enough back into our psychology. The alpha neanderthals are seeking out and hanging with their alpha kin, and the same for the cro-magnon.

If there was a reason, it'd be because you'd out-pretty me 99% of the time! No, I think it mostly has to do with the fact that you don't hang out in Paamul much.
