Shark Week Begins!!

All you Discovery Channel geeks: Shark Week kicks off tonight at 9 with a documentary narrated by Richard Dreyfuss about the USS Indianapolis. Worst shark attack in history, and apparently they have old footage.

This is such great timing...Just started reading The Devils Teeth: A True Story of Obsession and Survival Among America's Great White Sharks today. What a great read! Time to set the DVR for the week!

From my Dad's time as Commish of Motor-V for Indiana, he was given a very nice plaque in the shape of the State of Indiana....and on that plaque is a nice piece of teakwood decking from the USS Indianapolis.

I always thought as a young lad that was the coolest plaque I'd ever seen.
Knowing the story of the ship now as I do, it even means more to us.

I may watch. The previews always get me interested and then the shows creep me out! The problem I have with Shark week is after one show im already on overload. sharks scare me.
