Where has the summer gone? It seems like it was early June just last week. Time flies when you're working too hard and traveling all over the country...all the while trying to pack all my stuff...wait...i mean...having fun! Fortunately it's a short work week for me though......we've got the house appraisal and survey this week, and we've got to wrangle with the seller on the inspection report as there are a few things we'd like him to fix...also, we're heading up to Boston on Thursday to hang out with several of our friends (including Nerak!)

Hi Josef!...... here in the South we still have several more months of summer temps September and October are some of the best (few tourists)!
I'm off this week from work...flying to Wisconsin today for a seminar/workshop. Then back home for a few days and then off to Playa

August just means start of hurricane threat to me I am usually doing contingency planning to evac our airplanes August thru September. Gets old pretty fast! While official season is earlier, we usually aren't in the zone until Aug-Sept.

We've only gone camping once, it can't be almost over! The kids did talk me into buying school supplies before the rush though!
Going to finish moving stuff from the kitchen so John can work on the floor some more! Have a good day!

You know, I never thought of THAT benefit of living here. I used to get so bitter in the summers in Chicago, since we had such a small window of lovely weather and I wasted it all indoors working. Here, it's basically summer every day (although I actually get COLD here in the winter sometimes)!

Tell me about it!! July just flew by! When we get back from Playa I'll have to go back to work the following week. Then it's NON-STOP til the holidays. Good thing we have our vacation in Playa to finish off the summer. We already bought school supplies too. Christian is starting "intermediate school" (5th and 6th grade), which is between elementary and middle. He's all excited to have more than one teacher, and just HAD to get all of his folders and notebooks before we left for Playa.

In my profession we refer to the summer vacation like a weekend. June is Friday evening, July is Sat. and Aug. is Sunday. Sunday's are always too short!
