Richie: 'Yes, I'm Pregnant'

Reality TV star Nicole Richie has finally confirmed she is pregnant with her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden's child.
The daughter of soul star Lionel Richie has for weeks refused to corroborate or deny reports she's expecting a baby with her Good Charlotte boyfriend of nine months.
But in an interview to air on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Thursday, Richie, accompanied by Madden, says, "Yes I am (pregnant). We are. I'm almost four months."
The news comes just days after Richie pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs. She was sentenced to serve 96 hours behind bars for what was her second DUI charge in two years, and must complete her jail time by September 28.
The 25-year-old was given 21 days to enroll in a drug and alcohol program, has to pay a fine of over $2,000, and was placed on probation for three years. If Richie violates the terms of her probation, she could face another year in jail.

Lets hope this helps her reevaluate her life!

We can only hope that this will help her get her life on track. I dont know a lot about joel madden but he seems to be more down to earth and have his head screwed on a little bit better than the people she has associated with in the past. Maybe she'll find whatever it is that shes been searching for in all the wrong places.

I was a bit of a party girl for years. I wanted to settle down and have a family and without that I was searching for something to substitute that with. When I met matt and had Logan I made a huge change because I wasnt looking to fill that void. I still enjoy going out and partying now and then but not everyday and not in the same way. So I hope that maybe shell find the same thing. She has seemed to have changed a bit in the last few months so theres a chance. Shes even been staying in Cheap hotels while on the road with him!!! And hiding out rather than grabbing all the attention she can. For the kids sake and hers I hope this new behavior sticks.

I didnt say that hiding in cheap hotels is good behavior. Shes on the road with the band while they tour. The band is staying in motels and inexpensive hotels, eating at chili's. Not exactly her typical life style. The hiding may mean that she is able to let him take center stage instead of needing the attentin for herself. These things simply show that she has started to change from her old norm. i dont know if it will last i dont know all her reasons for doing it. I do know that her stepping away from her previous life may be a sign that she is ready and willing to change. Ive known too many people who have turned their lives around to say once a loser always a loser. a lot of them did that change when they realized that they had another life depending on them. Obviously that isnt a given but there is always a chance.

This is a truly sad day. Its the day when we all have to realize that another bit of the CRAP we are used to reading while in the bathroom, will no longer ( hopefully) be available for us.

An era is ending.
