they did not mention how much the stink..especially when they do number 2... ewww!
We had one in our zoo that lived about 55 years. I never realized I had been looking at the same hippo all my life.

I just hope you own a huge pond (not just a pool) and a bigger bank account to feed the little "kid". I don't want to imagine when she gets really really hungry.

That's the problem with smallish ponds.
Near Smogcity there is a nice Zoo with roomy areas for the animals, not just cages, the pond for th hippos is the size of a garage for 20 cars, and the pond really has a suffocating smell,
