I always feel free to edit anything in any way. There is no point in deleting your link, and you didn't have to go back and sanitize it (your post). We aren't trying to hide the fact that hurricanes happen here. You'll see lots of coverage, and we've got a page of RSS content from the NHC in our read more section. We cover them. The official stance of this site is to avoid a Chicken Little approach to hurricanes and tropical storms. That's why I let you know that your post about a tropical wave, or whatever it was, more than a week away, if it were to convert into a storm and head this way, was posted too early... that it was bad mojo. If you were to mention it to someone on the street, they would likely roll their eyes about it being so far from anything to be concerned about; yet. They wouldn't go stock up on bottled water. |

If you are coming on vacation the first thing to do is disregart everything you see on computer weather services. In the tropics there is a chance of rain every day that is what you see but most days it doesn't rain. If a serious storm is coming you will have plenty of worning and hotels local and national government did a great job taking care of tourist even in a storm as serious as Wilma. Hopefully it will be a long time before we see a storm like that again.
