Weather in playa

**First post - woohoo!!**

We are going to the carolsal spa resort (i think its called that!) has any one any thoughts on this?
I am VERY excited, 11 days to go! Its awful weather in the uk so be nice to see some sun!

Hi Becky and welcome!

As far as weather, I think it is pretty common to see the forecast calling for rain since it's a tropical climate and rain is always a possibility. However, it seems that even with the "weather" calling for rain, I think you'll find you'll have more sun. But then again, it's really hard to predict what the weather will actually be like for your trip... we can only hope

If you click on the "Read More" tab up top, there is weather information there. Hope you have a great trip!

I haven't heard any thunder for a few weeks. It has been mostly sunny with an occasional small, black cloud passing overhead. Hot as hell, to boot.

The tropical weather hasn't really started up yet, but I imagine it will soon, as the sea water heats up.

Normally it's light during the day, turning into scattered darkness towards evening, turning into darkness at night, turning into scattered light by morning.

I love thunderstorms, especially at night... In California we rarely got them, and when we did it was so exciting! I feel like a little kid tonight. I suppose after I've been here for a while I'll get over it...

I think most people living down there would already be in-the-know on anything they needed to be in-the-know about. I'd think if you lived down there you'd be in tune to weather reports, this time of year anyway.

I'd think on here the peeps are mainly tourists, though...talks of Cat I and stuff kind of tend to get the natives restless, usually unecessarily (99.9%)

I know what you mean....we get them very rarely here either (same reason as you didn't, mountains) and when we experienced that big one on our vacation in Alberta is was pretty cool.

Hehe- I remember my first full blown thunderstorm in Playa.......while we do have them here as well the thunder in Playa is sooooooo much louder- so the first one had me flinching a few times.

It's a beautiful sunny morning out there this morning, after a stormy yesterday. But the thunder is still booming loudly in the far distance.
