Excellent thanks for the reply. I know it seems a minor thing but we really noticed a different with good drinks at the Tucan compared with the Allegro. Cans sounds even better!
What was the food like? |

We didn't eat at any of the restaurants, we only did the buffet thing. The buffet by the pool is very basic with the same thing every day. Lunch was pretty much the same every day. Dinner had many choices in the main buffet area with a different theme every night and we found the food to be fine. For breakfast there are made to order omelets, pancakes, waffles, cereal, and just about anything else you could want. We have stayed and several different AIs and this was the best buffet food we have had, excepting the nachos at Couples in Negril (I still have cravings for those nachos).
From some of the people we talked to, the restaurants were not much better and typical AI restaurant, you had to wait forever on the service. I was completely satisfied with the buffets. |

Brilliant thanks for your reply, the food and drink were the one thing we were worried we'd be dissapointed by.
Sounds like the buffets good, the drinks sound excellent and we should save £100 if we swap so that could always pay for a few meals out x |

When you get there, if you do not like your room location, ask to be moved. We did and ended up with a much better view and location right next to the lower buffet and adult pool with a fabulous view of the ocean.
Have a great time!!! |

I never saw cans of soda being opened, just the 2 liter bottles, so the soda was always less fizzy than I would have liked.
We ate at the Italian restaurant 2x and it was pretty good for Italian food in Mexico. The service was actually really quick and we were surprised. I personally did not like the buffet, except breakfast. My husband thought the food was okay. It depended on who mixed our drinks as to how they tasted. There was one girl who made awesome martinis at one bar. |
