Looking forward to you and all the girls visiting us here at the shelter .

We just adopted a long hair chichuahua about 3 weeks ago...he is a sweetie and we are glad he has a new home. I cannot figure out how he ever ended up in a shelter...he is so lovable.

I have the same problem trying to understand how family pets end up here half starved and sick, about half of the dogs we get have been loved at some point, they sit when told, walk on a lead and have been in a car before, its just so sad for them .

I have a question to which i would like honest answers please.
The E-Pet adoption is going really well thank you all so very much, but what is honestly worrying me is this.... i know some big charities who run similar adoption schemes may have each animal adopted by more than one person, ie a dog/cat/horse may have 4/5/6 sponsors, how do you feel about that.... for us it would be great as the more donations we have the more animals we can help.. but i myself wouldnt want anyone offended if they discovered "thier" E-Pet was being sponsored by someone else too, it may appear a daft question but i would appreciate your thoughts on this.
Again thank you all so much .

Well I am not an edopter (yet - I'm workng on it!) but I would hope that folks are not that petty and would not mind one way or the other as long as the needed funds are flowing to the shelter. I know I wouldn't mind one bit......I hope every dogs ends up with 4,5, even six sponsors!!!

Loree - can I edopt Pogo too??? He is such a doll-face! I love him.... plus I think I recognize his collar in one of those pics as one of the ones I sent down

Hi Andy,

Multiple sponsors is the way to go. Zoos also do sponsorship of animals & those sponsorships are definitely more than just one person . I don't think anyone will be offended. It's all about the greater cause. E-Adoption adds a little more fun & personal connection and thus commitment to the cause.

I hope you're having a restful Sunday. It sounds like you had sound some very busy days this week with Vidas!
Take care,
Maureen

I would think this would not be an issue, as in anyone who finds it in thier heart and wallet to -e- adopt an animal from your shelter, they are expressing thier care and concern for these wonderful animals you have so lovingly agreed to care for in Playa. Your shelter is run on the genourosity of peeps. I am sure money is a HUGE concern with any non-profit organization. Let's look at it this way, if several animals had several -e- parents, more love to go around for these babies!

Whatever you need to do to raise funds (as much as possible) to better help you help the animals is absolutely fair and reasonable.
Except for Thor.
He's mine!

(Of course I'm kidding.)
