The Peanut Pet Shelter is very sad to announce that the Cat Haven will be closing effective immediately. This was a very difficult decision for us to make. One of our dreams was to operate a facility where displaced companion cats could live out their lives in peace. However, running two facilities proved to be too much for our resources. Sadly, The Peanut Pet Shelter will no longer be able to accept cats. The PPS and Coco's Cat Rescue will be working together to rehome the 21 cats that were living at the Cat Haven.

Due to a staffing problem, the cats will need medication and care from PPS volunteers and Coco's before they are rehomed. That staffing issue has been addressed and will not happen again.

The influx of 21 cats will be putting tremendous pressure on Coco's resources. They will need the following items, Please, help if you can.

Cat Sand from Sam's Club
Cat Food, Whiska's or Cat Chow
Plastic litter trays
food and water bowls
Drontal
Giacoccide
$1772 Pesos for vaccines
paper towels
Diapro gel diaper pads from Sam's Club or City Club
baby wipes
bleach
mops

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Coco's for their generous help in our time of need.

The PPS ranch in Akumal will continue it's much needed work with adult dogs for adoption and sponsorship.

The house in Playa will still be used for puppies and dogs that are not yet ready for the ranch.

Together we will work to serve all the abused, abandoned and neglected animals of the area. Thank you to all of our supporters, this is a very tough break, but we will work through it and continue on with our mission.

I arrive today for eight days! I am available & happy to help out where ever the need may be. I have a car too....and I have overcome my fear of driving on the highway!
