Maureen and Max
Maureen - it's always so hard to say goodbye to someone you love so much. We will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts to you and your family for Max's peaceful transition to his new life. We'll light our Rainbow Bridge candle for him when the time comes. Gentle hugs to you for giving him a lovely life. This is tough stuff ... so sorry.

Andy - so sorry to hear about your illness. I'm glad you're feeling better, but take care of yourself and try not to over do. You have a loyal following here, and all of us worry about you. Jen, thank you for keeping us updated! I am also so sorry about Dulcie. How sad, but it's the circle of life.
Good to hear, too, that some of the doggies got adopted. That is great news and I hope more and more families are hearing about your shelter and will come there for a companion animal. We are very happy to report that we got in a dear 12 yr old Scottie girl earlier in the month, who is going to her new home this weekend. Her new family is so excited to get her. The senior ones always get me - and she is no different. She is a sweet, funny, playful girl who hopefully has a few more good years in her. Now if we could just find a home for the mis-identified Scottie who is actually a Schnoodle! He is a great little guy. Take care of yourself Andy and feel better. |

I'm so sorry to hear about Dulce. It's very sad to lose any of the puppies, but look at how many are being saved.
Our dog recently was losing the use of her back legs periodically and it was found that she had a calcified disc which was pressing on her spine. The vet found it in an xray. She also got worse very fast. Unfortunately, it required an expensive surgery, but she's all better now. Any possibility the pup might have something pressing on her spine causing this? |
