You are my second heroes. Little Kylie, I found you, and gave you to the two most wonderful people, and I know they gave you what you never had felt before, all the caring and love that all beings should have from the start of their lives. Wherever you are, look back on Andy and Jens house, and the happy moments spent with them, and all your doggy griends. We will not forgive you, you will not remain unloved and uncared for, never again. Rest well.

Awww Anna...this is so beautiful. You are Kylie's hero because you helped her get to Andy and Jen's Peanut shelter.

My gosh, today has been a sorrowful day. Many tears for you, Maureen and your beloved Max. As I said in the other thread, he was surely a lucky guy to have such a loving home.
And now, poor Kylie. My heart is so full for you Andy and Jen, for all you do and how you have the courage to keep on going. Thank God for you. The pups of Playa need you. If it hadn't been for you Anna, Andy and Jen, Kylie would not have been comforted even if it was for such a short time. Thank you to Anna for saving her and delivering her to her angels.
Such a sad sorrowful day.......I'm so very sorry

Not at all.
I PM'd Maureen on Thursday evening, I believe, and I was crying so hard I couldn't see my computer screen.
I joke about what an emotional trainwreck I am. But - I think it's okay. I think, after 40 years, it's just who I am. And I'm fine with it. It's not such a bad thing to be.
Don't be sorry.
I agree, never be sorry because you cry. When I read this thread, I bawl my eyes out. Awhile back, I had mentioned on another thread that I have a hard time crying. Well, not any more...I get so sad and cry when I read about how dogs have been so mistreated. I look at my dogs, and I just lose it because I love them so much. I am so glad that I have them and they are not in the hands of some monster. I don't know how anyone could abuse an animal that loves so unconditionally. Today, I have been just crying a lot.
Maureen's tribute to Max shows how precious he was to her and her family. This made me think about if and when my four dogs go...I have tried not to think of this but now I am just going to have to love and spoil the heck out of them, even more.
Anna's words about Kylie are also so beautiful. Sweet little Kylie was so lucky to run to Anna's house. Somebody guided that poor little baby to the right place wher someone like Anna who is so full of compassion would do the best that she could to get this little one to Andy and Jen who are the St. Francis' of dogs. Their tireless efforts to help abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats in Playa is amazing. When one of the puppies die, it makes me so sad but at the same time, I am comforted because these little ones were not alone, mistreated, and suffering horribly at the time of their death because Andy and Jen were always with them. Also, when Andy and Jen are able to home a dog, that makes me so happy that I cry because of that too.
I feel so lucky to be in such a great community of dog lovers. Thank you all.

The laughter, humour and frivolity of auction night seems months away today.

It's okay. There will be another one.
I take comfort in knowing that they're all together. That they're not old or tired or sick or suffering.
They're all together and playing like puppies again.

please don't thank me. Thank Andy and Jen who stayed by her side, and gave her all the love she deserved. Max and Kylie will be forever together now. I'm not a believer, but I know they are together now. And they will always look down on Maureen and Andy and Jen, the people who loved them..Forever in their hearts. Ciao Max and Kylie, two lovely creatures brought to us to make our lives better.
