Hello Marissa...no, no sign of Apina. Not a good sign, nobody cares about the 4000 pesos reward, and she is not at the perrera either.

Hey Lori,
I'm so sorry to say I did not make it to the Shelter today. I had some complications....long, boring story....but, I am in town for one more full week & we may extend that time by a few more days. I told Andy & Jen that we (yes, my huband arrived!!) will plan to visit another day. I do have a very "cool" connection to share with you regarding Thor. I became aquainted with a few people in our neighborhood last year. Evalene, a lovely French woman is one I consider a dear friend. We share the same "animal passion" that you & I have. She has two beautiful dogs & always has them with her as she rides her bike by our house. She would always stop to say visit with me & my dogs. I've been a bit busy with taking care of many projects since I've been here. Appparently, we kept missing each other. Today, we finally we got together. She wanted to give me a hug in person for my loss of my dog, Max. I had sent her an email back when we let him go. She told me today she often thought of writing back, but sincerely felt ...her condolances were meant to be in person. She's a really great woman!! We talked quite a bit today....and you will never believe what I found out . Evalene is the person that brought your Thor to the shelter. She's not a Playa info forum participant & she learned about the (rather new existance) of the shelter from conversations we had this past June. I told her this was pretty amazing.....as I have become friends with the person who sponsors Thor at the animal shelter. Is this cool or what!! Between the blind Pug (Yago) story last week & this one.....I probably sound like a nut!! ....but, this is what's happening for real. Apina is back
Goodmorning everyone, just a quick note to say Apina came back knocking on our door this morning very early. She looks ok although her collar was very tight and has like a metal wire hanging from it. So obviously she managed to run away. GOOD GIRL
 She'll be at paco' sfirst thing tomorrow morning.I wanted to thank you all for your support, especially Maureen for helping. Thank you, your positive thoughts brought her back home! |

Oh Laura ....that is fabulous news!!!! What a relief!! I felt so bad for you & Anna! Oh ......the stress of these last few days. I am so happy for you. When I woke this morning to the rain. I thought about the posted flyers getting soaked in the rain. What a happy ending. I hope all is good when you get her to Paco.
