Anna - my friend is in the process of adopting a dog.
She does, however, have a cat. I don't know if she'd be interested in this - since there are a zillion dogs in the shelters right here - but - if you have more information about the pup, please PM me. (Especially if he's cat-friendly.) |

I've considered bringing in a 2nd dog for quite some time now. But with me - it would be a 3rd, then a 4th, and - that's just me. I've talked with Joe about it on more than one occasion. We have a lot of harmony in the 'pack' that we have here now with us, Sparky and Darla. Sparky's older, he's got problems with his hips and he has a front leg that keeps giving us problems and he's so used to being the only dog. Part of me feels like this sounds like a bunch of really lame excuses. But because we feel like bringing more pets in to our home, at this point, wouldn't be the right thing for any of us - that's why I support in other ways. It just never feels like it's good enough, somehow. |

I really want another dog too, but my mom lives with me now and takes care of Remy while I'm gone. I don't have a fenced yard so he has to go out on a tethered leash. Sometimes she doesn't get it hooked up right, but he has never taken off so it works out okay. It would be too much for her to let two dogs out like that, and if one ran off there's no way she could go after it. So, for now it's just one dog. There was one time that I came really close to bringing another dog home from the humane society. She was adopted about 1/2 before closing and I had decided I wasn't leaving her there.

good news, maybe.
a friend of mine is going to pick up the german shepherd today or tomorrow and see if he can stay with them. problem is she has a huge male rottweiler, but apparently he isn't very territorial nor dominant, so let's see how it goes. she also has a female, but that might be ok. keeping my fingers crossed. p.s. I LOVE mildred - lovely face

Sophie is so cute. She is wonderfully sweet too! Come down to Playa and pick her up. She so badly needs a new home!
Thanks again Andy and Jen for the lovely afternoon! It was tremendous fun! And I'm so very very happy that Mimi went to a good home! Sorry I missed ya'll tonight. Spent 7 long (and sweaty) hours at the laundry instead! Bummer! |

Wow, my little George is quickly turning into a big boy...
Bill (DH) is happy about it 'cause for 20 years he's been saying he wants a large dog... I kept telling him our house was too small... Of course, 3 pugs and 4 cats would probably equal a couple of large dogs.... Too bad for him tho', George is MY baby...
