You are welcome! We were discussing the cost of meds off of the shelf at stores and Dave suggested that I go online to check prices. Well, I am thrilled. We'll be in PdC for a couple of days around Christmas, so we'll bring some presents down for the pups and kitties. (Wimmin's week got to Dave so now he wants to go to Merida and Palenque)

As ive said before we are full...full...full..., we have dogs on the patio, dogs in the bedrooms, dogs on our balcony, the bathroom oh and of course in the shelter too, (and dont forget the kitties) but !!!!!, when i was at the pererra yesterday there were three puppies there that had already been given the blue paint (when dogs are taken there they only have 3 days before they are put to sleep and the paint signifies that its nearly thier time ) i realise that we cannot save them all but to see them like that just breaks your heart, so....... although there will be a large initial vet fee and we will probably have to start sleeping in the truck (ok so im just joking bout that bit ) i will be going out there today to collect them, i will also take some pics of the place .
Some of our neighbours call me the "crazy dog man" im beggining to see why

Oh, Andy, it must just break your heart to go there. The materials you need to build the shelters, what are they? I'm wondering if after hurricane season passes, we can't convince people to give us all the window boarding wood they won't want to store over high season...would that help you at all??

Apart from the concrete base, yes i can easily build the new pens from left over window boards, they wouldnt be to the highest standard but would enable us to take in and give proper shelter to more dogs, i have had just this morning alone 3 calls from people asking us to take four more pups

Hee hee, maybe we will pretend we are royalty! Yes, he's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. And he's spoiled rotten and I am going to miss him while we're in Playa!

I have 2 "rescues" in plain view. One on floor, the other messing up our bed. I love them both.

Ameripeeps; PLEASE check out rescues before buying a puppy, especially from a puppy mill. Recycled dogs need homes too!

My big pup is also from a shelter. He was found as a stray and is the most amazing, loyal, and intelligent (sweet, loving...I could go on all day) dog I've ever known.
Please don't feel like rescue dogs are unhealthy or dangerous or "someone elses's problem". It's just not true.
They're just coming from some unfortunate circumstance and looking to give/receive lots of love.
Mexi - I do believe I HEART you!
