Thank you Andy and Jen for your hospitality last Friday. It was great getting acquainted and meeting all the doggies. We hoped to catch up with you at PGs Friday evening but Chris' cold prevented us from sticking around for the music. Had an early flight Saturday so had to call it an early night.
We'll be back in December like I said and would love to participate in wash day if one is scheduled while we're in town. Thanks again.

OK feel free to send me more of these heart warming stories and remember each month I will gladly add one to our e-newsletter.
ON another topic. Maybe one of you can help me figure out what is wrong with my little Maya Alux. She got an absolute clean bill of health from the vet before we brought her home. She is as happy go lucky as one dog can possibly be - but her nickname is "stinky" - she has the worse gas - and sometimes her poor tummy is rumbling so bad it is hard to sleep with her. We have only had her here since the end of Feb. We are hoping it is just her adjusting to her new diet - etc. Have any of you had the same issue? |

If you've recently changed her food - that could be part of the problem. We've been though a lot, Beano - Pepto - boiled chicken and white rice - low-fat yogurt. (Definitely check with your vet about any/all of these.) He had the same thing - stomach rumbling with a LOT of gas and sometimes loose stool. Sometimes, actually, he wouldn't eat and would vomit. We had a stool sample tested and they couldn't find anything 'wrong' - but they did give us some powdery medicine to give him 3 days in a row - wait 3 weeks - and then do another 3 days in around. This was in case he picked up something sniffing around or eating grass in the yard or getting in to whatever it is dogs get in to. There are so many options with an upset belly. Start by settling her belly and go from there. Please let us know how it goes. |
