Marissa she will settle down soon, she just missed her mommy

It was another fun wash day and thank you to everyone who came, of course Laura was back from her trip to Wales and she brought with her loads of tiny kittens that needed bathing and de-flea treatment.
The five big pups that have been ill since they arrived nearly 2 months ago ( they have all been in isolation all this time) finally had thier first vaccinations and met the public properly, although very shy they will soon get used to visitors

we are now up to 40...yes 40 dogs and puppies and Laura's apartment is overflowing with little kitties, we desperately need to star finding new loving homes for some of our guests.

And these are some before pics of the lot that will soon become the new Peanut Pet Shelter, thanks to everyone who has helped so far with this exciting project, we still have a lot of money to raise to get the shelter built but we have enough now to get work started

Just a little update on one of the dogs here at the shelter.
When Misha arrived here she was nearly completely hairless and had a nasty limp from a recent car accident, she was such a miserable little girl.

Misha then

That was then, this is now, her hair has all grown back , her limp has gone and she is one of the happiest dogs you will meet

I think I saw you walk down 5th with Karma yesterday about 6.30 pm....was too embarrassed to stop you and say hey are you marissa???? what if it wasn't you???

I left Karma (in the loving care of Jen & Andy) for two weeks as I had to return to the states. She is happily back home once again the ONLY princess in our house (I was de-throned the day she walked thru my door).

NOW she won't let me leave the house without her. I have to literally hold her back as she runs for the door the minute I pick up keys or my purse. Normally a few treats keeps her well occupied and I can leave with no problems.

When will she start TRUSTING me again??? Any thoughts??

Next time say hello! If it is me then I'd be so happy to meet you. If not me...well, maybe pretend you were talking to someone else! But generally if you see a black and white dog with a pink collar and a pink heart tag, it's probably Karma (and me)

Milly has a new home

One of our long term guests Milly was chosen last night by a young Italian guy to go live with him , it was def love at first sight and she was so excited when he led her out of the gate to his car, he did say he may be back for another of our older girls , maybe MJ or Selina which would be fantastic

.
We have already raised about half of the (Estimated) 10'000 usd that it is going to take to build the new shelter , we are still awaiting some quotes on the work as they are coming in quite a bit higher than we had anticipated

, but hopefull work will begin in the next week
